My daughter also had detethering surgery at 9 months age at Fortis Gurgaon. She does not have any post surgery issues with gods blessings. She is trying to learn toilet training and has improved a lot with practice.
Dr Rana Patir did the surgery for my daughter. For leg weakness you should consult a specialist physiotherapist. I think with some online research you can find in your area. For urine, with age as bladder control improves this should improve too. But you can consult a urologist also. Please do research before any further procedures, don’t blindly follow doctors advice since some can try to mislead you. All the best !!March 17, 2016 at 5:56 am #345
Our member AK106 went to GB Pant hospital in Delhi. His child underwent two surgeries, including detethering. He was happy with the services and recommend others.

You should consult a physiotherapist – who will advise proper exercise to normalize your child’s activities. I will also send closely matching child’s parents contacts, so that you can connect.February 29, 2016 at 8:14 am #338

Please let us know whether the condition of child improved after surgery or it has deteriorated. Why did you go for detethering at such young age. What were other complications. like manifestation of SB in thoracic or lumber region, Gait problem, incontinence etc.February 28, 2016 at 5:25 am #335
